Dreams 3: Living Differently
As I’m sitting here in the Fairfield, I’m looking out at an exon which is a 711. At four in the morning, breakfast is served and two more hours of meeting at 930. The spare computers sitting here, the other ones in a backpack at this clinic, Family Foundation.
I have to continually remind myself, I am living differently. And I do have this capability to live differently. And I think I can fall into the pattern but then to other people, I am living differently. I get up in the morning I feed when I’m at home. I feed my cats I generally stop off for Diet Coke and then, you know, head somewhere to set up a laptop and work just happens to be the Hispanic family foundation these days.
get my work done and normally stop at the US bookstore on the way in and look around and get home eventually and feed the cats and watch the news and Stephen Colbert and crash and do it all over again. But just the terms that I do it in right now. I have to remember not everybody lives like that either.
But I think sometimes part of the challenge is that you get in your own rent no matter where you’re at whether you work at a convenience store, which I’m staring right now through a window and I’m sure some people do I certainly live that life where you work, first shift, second shift, third shift every day, all day, every week, every week, all year, every year, or you got up and you’re at the office by 738 o’clock 830 You have lunch at 1212 30 Sometimes a late lunch at one and you left it for 430 or five and your smoke breaks for 10 and two. All day every day, every day, every week all week, every week. Every week, all year, every year.
And I think even as an entrepreneur, you know, get up feed the cats stop at the bookstore. Get the get coke stop at the bookstore go to HFS leave HFS go home. I think going to my family Stoddard showcase and then being here at this hotel and having the meeting at 930 in the morning.
It’s a reminder I can live differently here. I don’t need to be jumping off to New York or jumping off here jumping off there. I am in a very entrepreneurial, entertainment bent city. I do have options
