Christmas Cruise
I remember Christmas one year, I was probably right after I graduated high school I saw a girl named Jill she was a troublemaker. Names spelled j y l She locked herself in my car once with a screwdriver. I couldn’t even get in my own car.
And she was just trouble and it was Christmas Eve and I felt that if she was out and about causing trouble on Christmas Eve somebody needed to be out on the streets Christmas Eve and thus initiated a yearly tradition on Christmas Eve that I call point the Christmas cruise not a cruise like a ship, but just cruising around the streets.
And that’s what I do every Christmas Eve no matter where I’m at, with the exception of the years that I was doing the Santa Monica Christmas and I didn’t have a car. I’ve always taken to the streets and just driven around and been the places that people aren’t. Grab a drink, grab the sticks and just drive around.
And I always felt that somebody needs to be out there while everyone else is with their families and warmly snuck around the Christmas trees somebody needed to do driving out there. I can be anywhere, any place. And again, with the exception of Los Angeles, the drive just hits like I have to leave and I have to get behind the steering wheel and I have to do this and that’s where I feel that I need to be on Christmas Eve.
