The Divorce II: Devistation
Divorce is devastating. It changes the way that you see the world changes the way adult children see the world. It changed the way I saw the world. The world wasn’t a safe place anymore. It was survival time, all the time. 24/7 Any sense of security love, unconditional love family that has gone from the from the external sense.
There’s no more family dinners. There’s the whole family doesn’t sit down at the table anymore. Mom doesn’t cook that doesn’t come to the table when when it’s when it’s time it’s just, you know, dinners in the fridge, grab it yourself or put yourself together a plate and it doesn’t change the way you see the world.
I think being an orphan changes the way I see the world. I think the divorce changed the way I see the world. I think my family’s past and changes the way that I I see the world the world has never been a safe place from day one.
I was a child of war I was born in battle. And that’s who I am. And everything is just survival. It always has been and probably always will be
