Crosspoint Church is a very media rich church with a guided experience start to finish. From the parking lot to the sanctuary there is a lot of help to get from point A to point B. The overall experience is both visually rich and compact.
Outside the church entrance is a welcome tent. Once you clear the tent, there are a lot of different areas – kids, refreshments, information, and more. It’s easy from there to get inside the sanctuary which has both a ground level and floor level.
The sanctuary has a few levels but a very strong media setup to make the entire experience immersive from start to finish. The sanctuary has a ground level and stadium level. There is an LED wall, totems, and side screens. On one screen it read “We encourage you to worship freely while being a kind neighbor to those seated near you”. That was a very interesting slide to show before worship at this non-denomnational church in Nashville.
The worship set was fairly compact with lyrics on the back wall and on the sides with lower thirds on a video feed. The set moved fairly quickly and before I knew it, it was on to the next segment.
The next segment was announcements and offering. This was fairly standard fare but also fairly expedient. Before you knew it, the main speaker was up.
The main speaker was a guest speaker from out of state. He apparently mentored the current lead pastor. The theme was to ‘get in community’, which is a fairly decent church building message. As there are different cycles of messaging in churches, i.e. community / membership, serving, giving, etc it’s natural to walk into such a part of a cycle in a church and this one seemed geared towards membership and being a part of the local church. The message as also fairly brief as we were out in about 70 minutes.
Leaving the church was as easy as entry, the exit of people led the way to the parking lot. Crosspoint Church, a non-denomnational church in Nashville, gets a lot of points for being media rich as well as a service that flows in-and-out in 70 minutes. It’s use of media during the worship and message ensured anyone sitting anywhere in the sanctuary could have an immersive experience.
